When creating this, what was going through my head were all the ideas we talked about in class about the different ways we’ve seen God portrayed in our different texts, our previous discussions with self fashioning, and all of our hard work breaking down parts of Paradise Lost. I wanted to find a way to bring those together, and I found one way through this discussion on the structures of power and authority. Most of my ideas came from things we broke down in class, and using the extra knowledge I took from class to go a bit further with that and tie it together into a cohesive argument. I hope people read this and understand where I’m coming from, and can get a similar reaction when they read sections of Paradise Lost, and maybe see them in a new light.
